The Ruby Roadrunners met at the City Temple of Baltimore to help with the weekly soup kitchen under the guidance of Lady Etiquette. The group helped to prepare and serve the meal, and also greeted people as they came to enjoy their lunches. The church provides midday meals several times a week, and provides a variety of menus. They are also providing holiday baskets for the community. Afterwards the group met at the AMC theatre to see the new movie, 12 years a Slave, starring Chiwetel Ejiofor. The movie was based on the true story of Solomon Northup, a freeman living in upstate New York during the pre-civil era of the US, who was abducted and sold into slavery. Refreshments were served at Lady Roadrunner's home and Ruby Roadrunner business, including the February
trip to the Poconos, was discussed. It is going to be fantastic!

The Ruby Roadrunners took a cruise on the Potomac for the October event aboard the Nina's Dandy. Based in Alexandria VA, the owners have had more than 26 years of experience providing fine dining on the Potomac, and a diverse health conscious menu for their guests. The visit ended at the Ocean Odyssey Seafood Restaurant in Cambridge MD, where everyone enjoyed a fantastic lunch. The event was hosted by Lady Fox.

The Ruby Road Runners had a great time at the Lake Arbor Jazz Festival in Mitchellville MD on
July 13, 2013, hosted by Lady D. The music was fantastic, the weather was great, and the tent not
only allowed a great view of the stage, but kept us in the shade. We were provided with individual ,
battery operated portable fans - perfect for the occassion. Vendors with books, clothing, jewelry and
food provided a variety of choices. Contemporary jazz and R&B were provided by local groups. It was
a nice time to sit back, relax, chat and enjoy the music!!!
